a French pioneer in rotor blade maintenance
PLASTEOL is part of a recognized French expertise in composite materials applied to renewable energy.
From its industrial origins to its current role as a major player in rotor blade maintenance, the company has adapted to the sector’s evolution while maintaining its technical rigor and field-driven culture.
The origins: creation of PLASTINOV
It all began in 2006 with the founding of PLASTINOV, a French company specializing in the design and manufacturing of composite material parts.
From the outset, the company operated in demanding sectors such as aeronautics, transportation, and energy, where technical precision and mastery of composite processes are essential.
A key milestone: blade manufacturing for ASTRIUM
In 2009, PLASTINOV reaches a technological milestone by taking part in the manufacturing of blades for ASTRIUM, a strategic player in the space industry.
This highly technical project confirms the company’s ability to produce complex composite structures with top-tier tolerance and reliability requirements.
Birth of PLASTEOL: a subsidiary dedicated to wind energy
Faced with the rapid growth of the French wind farm fleet and the increasing need for specialized maintenance, PLASTINOV creates a dedicated subsidiary: PLASTEOL.
This new entity focuses exclusively on the repair, maintenance, and inspection of wind turbine blades, marking a true specialization in extending the lifespan of wind farms.
A new momentum with the CARBOMAN Group
In 2015, PLASTINOV (and by extension PLASTEOL) joins the CARBOMAN Group, a leading European player in the field of advanced composite materials. This group is particularly known for its subsidiary Multiplast, a supplier to the naval, aeronautics and sports sectors (including the Vendée Globe).
This integration enables PLASTEOL to benefit from new industrial synergies, access to cutting-edge technologies, and strategic support in its development on the European wind maintenance market.
Geographical expansion: opening of the Vannes site
To support the growth of its activity and strengthen its presence in western France, PLASTEOL opens a second site in Vannes.
This center quickly becomes an operational hub for organizing and deploying maintenance campaigns throughout the country.
Vannes becomes the company’s headquarters
In 2019, PLASTEOL confirmed its territorial anchoring by officially transferring its headquarters to Vannes.
This strategic choice reflects the structuring of the company around its operational activities while consolidating its national intervention network.
a recognized company at the heart of the wind industry
Today, PLASTEOL is recognized as a leading player in France in the specialized maintenance of rotor blades. Drawing on its field experience, its technical expertise in composite materials, and its membership in a major industrial group, the company continues its development in the service of more reliable, durable and efficient wind power.
Its know-how is structured around three pillars:
- Advanced mastery of composites, derived from its industrial heritage
- A detailed understanding of blade pathologies and how they evolve over time
- Proven intervention capability, regardless of access conditions or environment
PLASTEOL also places quality, safety and continuous training at the heart of its approach, with certified technicians (GWO, electrical certifications) and a rigorous HSE policy.
